Ziad Tabet
With over 32 years of experience in finance and entrepreneurship, Ziad has spent the last 26 years on the buy-side, spanning private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds. Prior to founding Amakor Capital, he was for 7 years the sole portfolio manager of the Event-Driven fund at Jabre Capital, where he also managed the segregated Event-Driven book within the Jabre Capital Multi-Strategy Fund. Before Jabre, Ziad spent 3 years at Tribeca Capital in the Event-Driven space, where he launched the firm’s European Event-Driven strategy. Before Tribeca, he was a senior analyst at Holte Capital.
Ziad began his career in 1993 at Morgan Stanley in New York, spending two years in Mergers & Acquisitions and two years in Emerging Markets. He then worked for 4 year in private equity: 2 years at TPG, a multi-billion-dollar buyout fund, and 2 years at Deep Capital, a mid-market buyout boutique he co-founded.
Ziad holds a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Economics from McGill University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
